MY STORY

Why I do this work.

My parents divorced when my mother was six months pregnant. My beginning wasn’t easy, but it shaped who I am today.

At just 11 years old, I began volunteering in nursing homes.
For more than 25 years, I served as a hospice nurse and EMT, holding the hands of thousands as they took their final breaths. Through them, I learned that death is not the end — it is a teacher.

Then, in April 2025, my beloved stepfather passed away.
Suddenly, the teacher became the lesson.

I had to survive the same grief I had guided others through for decades.


This book is the result — where professional expertise meets personal heartbreak, created to help you navigate loss with compassion, understanding, and hope.
